Lot 16.  If You Build It ... Fund a Need ~ Build a Carpentry Shed

This year we are asking you to raise your paddles to fund our new carpentry shed. This structure will provide a permanent home for tools and woodworking supplies, allowing our young builders to hone their skills every day. If you have ever seen the satisfaction that a young child gets from successfully driving a nail through a piece of wood, then you know what a valuable addition this carpentry shed will be to the Co-op.

Co-op dad and architect JuanCarlos Fernandez has designed this 175 square feet building with a contemporary and practical aesthetic. Features such as large sliding barn doors and painted wood siding echo the existing structures, blending the new in with the old. Full-length overhead windows on the south-facing wall will illuminate the building with natural light—while keeping glass safely out of reach of swinging hammers! Fully insulated and heated, the building is designed to be cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. The large covered porch will provide a shady outdoor space for kids to work on projects or eat lunch.

Construction estimate: $25,000+
(Has any project in Napa Valley come in on time or on budget?)
